Unfortunately, Bread Run was not able to resume after the COVID lockdowns.

The Bread Run was a pick up, sort & delivery service run by a Team of people from St. Simon’s on Tuesday evenings for decades.

Some of the Team collected the bread donated by the Brumby’s Bakery in Lyneham, then the rest of the team met to sort, package and then deliver the bread.
The bread was delivered to families in need and refuges in our community.
The aims of the Bread Run was to both provide food & to reach out to the local community and serve them in a practical way. It was a great way to build relationships within the community and offer our support.
We delivered a large bag of bread to Kaleen High on Wednesday mornings for their School Breakfasts.
We delivered 2 or 3 large bags to the Early Morning Centre.
We delivered 2 or 3 large bags to a shelter in Canberra.
